Picnic Performances: Accordions Around the World

This annual celebration of accordionists returns with a rare New York City appearance from the Louisiana-based, three-time Grammy-nominated Zydeco star Dwayne Dopsie as well as Latin funk steeped in Dominican styles of music from Afro Dominicano. A third group will be announced soon.

How to make donations to the Owl's Head Park Volunteers
Owl's Head Park Volunteers is a friend's group of Owl's Head Park located in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, New York. We are registered with Partnerships for Parks and are a member of the City Parks Foundation's fiscal sponsorship program.

We also accept donations for tools, soil, hand sanitizers, snacks and bottled water for volunteers. Please email us at: [email protected] and we will instruct you how you can make these donations.

Submit your original design to the 2026 NYC Parks GreenThumb T-Shirt Design Contest based on the theme: Soil & Soul: Where Hands Get Dirty and Hearts Connect
Pick up a pen, crayon, pencil, or whatever you use to draw, and submit your artwork to our t-shirt design contest! The winning design will appear on GreenThumb t-shirts, worn by hundreds of gardeners all over the city. Applicants may submit up to three entries.
