Super Steward: NAVigator Training

Meeting Location: Meet behind Millennium Skate park, in the northeastern corner of Owls Head Park, Brooklyn
Description: Field Training as part of becoming a Super Steward: NAVigator, an independent steward of the forest. Learn to identify and remove invasive plant species, and help foster healthy and sustainable forest ecosystems in NYC. This training is entirely outdoors, rain or shine, so please dress appropriately and bring water. Long pants and closed-toe footwear strongly recommended.

Owl's Head Park Volunteers is a friend's group of Owl's Head Park located in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, New York. We are registered with Partnerships for Parks and are a member of the City Parks Foundation's fiscal sponsorship program.

Submit your original design to the 2026 NYC Parks GreenThumb T-Shirt Design Contest based on the theme: Soil & Soul: Where Hands Get Dirty and Hearts Connect
Pick up a pen, crayon, pencil, or whatever you use to draw, and submit your artwork to our t-shirt design contest! The winning design will appear on GreenThumb t-shirts, worn by hundreds of gardeners all over the city. Applicants may submit up to three entries.
